Christmas 2024
What is happening in Torre Pedrera?
Bagno 65 – Torre Pedrera
Nativity Scene on the Beach A nativity scene different from previous years: the Torre Pedrera Tourist Committee has designed a traditional nativity display on the beach made of wood and hand-carved materials that evoke the simplicity and beauty of the nativity. It uses classic figures with references to traditions, maritime culture, and our sea, which has given so much to us but sometimes takes it back.
It will be a "work in progress" where memories and traditions will take shape on the beach. Next to the nativity scene, the "Festival Tent" will host events starting from December 8, including recreational activities, workshops, burraco tournaments, and, why not, even dance nights, as well as many evenings of delicious bingo throughout the holiday season.
This 300-square-meter heated structure, accessible to all, will provide a space where the entire community can gather, have fun, socialize, and promote its activities by the sea, even in winter. Also important are the wonderful charity fundraising evenings, where the whole city comes together for noble causes. A must-see is the highly anticipated New Year's Day swim on January 1 at 12:00, right in front of the nativity scene at Bagno 65. The beach will come alive with music and energy, and a growing group of brave souls will challenge the waves and cold to kick off the season with the first dive. Finally, on January 6, a big Epiphany celebration, where once again, the Befana will arrive by sea on powerful jet skis, bringing gifts and sweets to all the children who will celebrate together, playing and having fun with the hilarious bingo games. Opening hours: The outdoor nativity scene will be open for visits from December 8 to January 6 with free entry.
